Pentax announced that its entire line of anti-reflective coated lenses has been awarded the COLTS Performance Seal. It is the first company to achieve this distinction.

The Seal is a certification of quality assurance issued by COLTS Laboratories, an independent testing facility specializing in ophthalmic products. The certification is based upon the results of five testing procedures: Bayer Abrasion, Cycle Humidity/Oven Cross-Hatch Adhesion, Variable Height Impact/FDA Drop Ball, Ease of Cleaning, and Cosmetic and Mechanical Inspection.

“I have been impressed with the effort put forth by the people at Pentax to reach a quality level that would allow COLTS to award them the Performance Seal on all of the premium anti-reflective coated products.
